Title: | Prairie Dogs Poisoned |
---|---|
Description: |
Wildlife Management Slide Show created by the USFS in 1938. Transcribed from original program. 34. The control of predatory animals sometimes upsets the balance of nature, and it is frequently necessary to practice control measures upon species which are preyed upon by them. Prairie dogs when too numerous, consume great quantities of forage and destroy large areas of range. When such a condition exists, it is necessary to initiate control. This is done with the use of poisoned grain. |
