Title: Black Bear in the Highlands
Description: Wildlife Management Slide Show created by the USFS in 1938. Transcribed from original program.

17. Two species of bear frequent the Rocky Mountain Region – the black or brown bear and the grizzly bear. Grizzlies have been greatly reduced because of their heavy depredations upon domestic livestock. The black bear is now recognized as a big game animal and is protected accordingly. Here is a black bear in his native wilderness.
