God Fever: Restoring the Golden Era of Gold Mining in the Black Mining Hills of Dakota

The Dakota Territory and the lure of gold brought miners and dreamers to this place a century ago. The last of the equipment they used, the buildings they created, the stone structures and adits they built in hopes of getting rich by beating gold from the granite Black Hills have all but disappeared now. This restoration project of one of those sites, Gold Hill on the Mystic Ranger District, is one of the best preserved. Follow volunteers and district employees as they work to restore our golden past for future generations.
